Precious time with friends, family, and dog + jet lag

Saturday started early for us. We both woke up at 3:30a.m. which was 9:30a.m. in Hamburg. I got up and sorted through mail for an hour and was able to go back to sleep. Poor Ken couldn't get back to sleep.

We started watching weather reports because the snow started falling in Indianapolis. It wasn't bad enough to keep us from our dog. Mom and her friend Ron met us in Gas City, Indiana for lunch and to give us our Aggie. She was not so sure about getting into the car with us. She was shy and shaking the entire ride home. I felt like such a bad mother for abandoning her. It only took her a few minutes at home to get back to normal. "Grammy" took really good care of her the last 10 months. She had fun in the snow.

Saturday night, Margaret and Jason Hiscock hosted a welcome home party with almost all of our closest friends. The Wards even drove through the snow from West Lafayette to the south side of Indy. It was the best Christmas gift the Hiscocks could have given us- time with the people that we care the most about with here. We never could have individually seen all those people these two weeks. We are SO blessed to have such great friends.

As for the jet lag, we were able to sleep in to the late hour of 5:30 this morning. Crazy! Tomorrow when Ken has to go to work, he really is not going to want to get up.
