Week 23

I quickly learned that "the" question to ask a pregnant woman is, "How are you feeling?" So, I thought I'd answer it for all of you. I'm feeling so much better in the 2nd trimester than in the 1st. My energy indeed came back and I haven't had as much back pain. I continue to exercise 3-4 times a week. I'm running, but walking as well. I wake up a lot at night to turn over, but it doesn't keep me from getting a good night sleep. It probably keeps Ken from getting a good night sleep, though.

Here's my first "belly picture". As you can see, I'm not very big. There wasn't much of a point to take a picture before now. As long as the baby is healthy (which the last ultrasound said he/she was), I'm content being a skinny pregnant woman. That will help make it easier to be a skinny new mom!

Rest of CA Trip

Thursday
We slept in and relaxed some more on Thursday morning. Around 1:00, we drove back to San Diego. Jeff had Bible Study that night, so we just hung out at his place.

Friday
Jeff had to work, so we entertained ourselves with mountain climbing and shopping. Like last year, we climbed "Jeff's Mountain" or as everyone else calls it, Cowles Mountain. Even an old pregnant woman can climb a mountain!

In the afternoon, Ken and I found his favorite Christian bookstore Berean. Indy's Berean closed a couple of years ago. After that, we visited Jeff's job site. It has come a long way since we visited a year ago. I'm really proud of what he's accomplished.

Saturday
Jeff, Ken, and I drove to Palm Springs. There we took the tram to the top of San Jacinto. Pictures can be found here.

Sunday
:( We had to fly home. It was a great vacation and at least the Colts won!
