Meeting the Fort Wayne family

This has been a big week! On Thursday afternoon, Josh's uncle Jeff flew into Indianapolis for Easter. He called Mom from our back patio (in 80 degree heat) and told her how bad the weather was in San Diego (50's and raining)and that he wished he could be home for Easter. She didn't know he was in Indiana. Jeff and Josh bonded immediately. Despite the fact that Jeff had never held a baby that young, he quickly got the hang of it. He really impressed his sister when he offered to hold the baby during his fussy time of night. Jeff calmed him down. He just didn't dare move!

On Friday, we all packed into the new minivan and headed to Fort Wayne to meet Great-Grandpa Sebold and Ellie. Great-Grandpa just beamed when he met the newest member of the family. It was a very special time. Josh also got to meet Great-Aunt Joy for the first time that afternoon.

The last stop of the day was to Grandma Wannemacher's. She started crying when she saw Jeff come out of the car. His surprise had the desired effect.

We all slept in on Saturday and relaxed during the day. In the evening, the Wannemacher family came over for dinner. The baby whisperer of the night was 9-year old Lucas. He entertained Josh for a half hour. It was adorable. Then we all celebrated Butler's defeat of Michigan State. Ken didn't find tickets to the Final Four, but he's looking for tickets to the national championship game on Monday.
