NCAA Championship Game - Butler Almost Pulls it Off

Last night Kristy and I were able to go to the NCAA championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium to see Butler take on Duke. This was an amazing experience, one that we won't soon forget. We were able to go with my brother Scott and our friend Steve, whom we may have been successful from crimson to blue during the tourney run (too early to know yet...)

Unfortunately, we came up on the short end, by the smallest of margins. We're certainly proud though of the way the team represented themselves, the school, and our community. They left it all on the court and almost won doing things the right way. Can't wait for next year, when they can hopefully make back again and finish the last remaining goal.

Below are a few pictures from the evening.

At a pregame gathering with some friends from my days at Butler.

View of Lucas Oil Stadium as we were going in with the Final Four banners.

View from our seats. We were a ways away but could still see the action.

Steve, Scott, Ken, and Kristy at the game. Smiles in the photo mean it was taken before the game was over.

My parents were disappointed that they were driving home from our house and missed most of the game. We're hopeful that they'll be back because they are a young team. We're so bias because Howard's parents are our good friends-he is so much younger than me that I didn't really know him, but we do know his family. You're right-it was ALMOST. We don't have TV, but my dad watched some of the highlights of Saturday's game on the internet. I'm glad you were able to go and enjoy the game.

So glad you got to go to the game. We went to the semi-final game, but couldn't make it back up for the final game. We had an awesome time and I'm sure you did too. Next year; road trip to Houston to watch the Bulldogs go all the way!!!
