We drove to LA in the morning. The Santa Ana winds were blowing strong and creating dust storms across the interstate. Add in the dry brush and we now understand how the fires spread so rapidly around here. The fires are nowhere near where we are, but we did see smoke on the mountain while we were driving around LA.
Early afternoon, we went on the Warner Brothers tour. It was an excellent tour and I would recommend it to anyone that likes TV and movies. You ride around the studio backlots. Did you know that the same fire escape that was used in Annie (It's a hard knock life... for us) and in Spiderman? We also got to see the ambulance bay for ER and Central Perk from Friends. The tours are always different. Since Two and a Half Men was taping this week, we got to go into their sound stage after their rehearsal. Had we planned a little in advance, we could have been in the studio audience. We saw the crew working on lighting for a scene in Cold Case.
After the tour, we went to Hollywood to see the star walk, the Kodak Theater (home of the Academy Awards or Oscars), and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. We were surprised to see that they were setting up the Chinese Theatre for the premiere of Max Payne. We saw Mark Wahlberg 
and other stars exiting their limos to walk the red carpet. Ken will post our pictures from across Hollywood Blvd. Here are the pro's pix. Our other star siting was of Guillermo, parking lot attendant to Jimmy Kimmel. He gained fame in Dancing with the Stars.
